CAMP NIEMAN is a delightful upstairs apartment where you'll see tree-tops out the windows and hear birds and treefrogs, watch deer browse (or eat sweet corn that you can through out for them). You have permission to hike in the woods adjacent to/south of Camp Nieman. The land, which belongs to the Sabine River Authority, is leased by our neighbor. Hunting and shooting are not permitted. If you like to hike, bring waterproof hiking boots. The trails are wide and well-defined.

We have 125 acres of rolling hills and trees throughout the property and many trails for you to use at your leisure. Our property backs up to a 800 acre wildlife preserve (which you are able to hike on or ride horses on), and is only minutes from Lake Tawakoni. Feel free to fish and hike and enjoy the outdoors on this peace of beautiful East Texas land. We have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The metal barndominium is brand new and has been furnished with everything you would need for your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook, if you choose. Upstairs we have a large entertainment and game area, with the pool table anchoring it. Off the game room, there is an additional loft area with an additional bedroom with 4 twin XL beds. We have a outdoor fire pit area which is perfect for s'mores or a cold beer. We also have two beautiful horses, Scooter and Jo that would love to be pet! There is also a rear unit that we either rent out to guests via Airbnb as well or use ourselves. Both units can be rented together to sleep 20 if you have a large family gathering. We do also come out or our ranchhand does daily to feed and care for horses. We do have a grocery delivery service available for a additional charge. If you don't want to cook we can recommend caterers for your stay. We have installed high speed internet that is reliable for your stay. We're all searching for a place where we can be with our loved ones, get close to nature, and appreciate beautiful settings together. Our cabin really is just that place! The cabin has an expansive feel, with soaring tongue & groove pine ceilings and hand-scraped pine floors. There's also a luxurious bath with a large walk-in shower with rain head. We built this cabin in 2016 and have hosted many happy guests since (we're happy to provide additional reviews from other sites). We kept the outdoors close with big windows everywhere you look, including from the custom kitchen and dining areas. Kitchen amenities include an island, granite and butcher block countertops, and an inviting window seat that will coax helpers into the kitchen. Cabinets are stocked with all the cookware and dishes you need. Many of the home's features are crafted from trees found on the property, like the the custom cedar slab dining table and the massive cedar posts on the front porch. Kids love the property's quirky details, including a custom bunkbed with trap door and a private portal window for stargazing. The bed setup includes two lofted twin beds and a queen bed in one bedroom (which is opens to the downstairs common area), and a queen bed in the other. Great for parents, grandparents and grandkids traveling together! Take your coffee outside to the large wraparound deck overlooking majestic oaks—some on the property are over 100 years old! Or sneak away to the 2nd story private balcony overlooking the pond. Then spend a whole day exploring the acreage, which is ultra-secluded and set back 3/4 mile from the main road, with 1.5 miles of hiking trails. Deer, fox, birds and beavers are all frequent visitors. Paradise!

This quiet getaway in Lone Oak is private with easy access to main road. 3 bed room 2 bath house with new construction mixed with old. This house in on one acre of land in the city of Lone Oak. Our fully-furnished 1 bdrm cabin nestled among the trees on our private 50 acre ranch is situated directly on a large fishing pond and a great place for individuals, couples and small families to get away from the city noise and relax! Enjoy taking the boat out for a serene journey, fishing without a license, horseback riding, the 2 outdoor fire-pits, charcoal grill, porch swing and children's swings & play-set all on the same property! There is a king-sized bed in the bedroom and 2 twin air mattresses, pump and bedding available. In the bathroom there are 2 sinks, a walk-in shower and a garden-sized bathtub! Amenities: Refrigerator with ice maker, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, outside grill, fishing poles. All linens/towels, TV/DVD/CD player, Satelitte Cable. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER WIFI Two options for horseback riding are available just steps away from the cabin: 1. John Clayton with CHU Stables offers basic riding lessons for a very reasonable price of $35 per 45 minute lesson. Lessons should be arranged upon or before arrival. 2. International Cowboy Cultural Academy (ICCA) is a non-profit who offers therapeutic riding lessons for those looking for a little more "balance" in their lives. Specializing in youth dealing with emotional hurdles and veterans diagnosed with PTSD. Riding instruction comes from well known natural horsemanship trainer Harry Nakoa (Google him!) We also have a 2 acre stocked fishing pond literally off the cabin's back porch. Catfish, crappie, small and large mouth! Please bring your own fishing poles/tackle, we’ve tried keeping poles for guests but they just get ruined after one or two weeks. If you are flying in, and want to fish, let me know and I’ll be sure to have fishing equipment for you. Fishing is catch & release unless agreed with the property manager. We have 1 non-motorized boat options (and life jackets) for guests to enjoy the pond. It is a large, yellow 10ft 3 person sit-on-top Kayak by Lifetime with 2 Paddles. Right by the cabin is a large swing set (that even adults can use!) and a play-set for children. You are completely secluded away from the city. There are a few local restaurants around, and 3 within walking distance if you're up for a trek. It is quiet and peaceful except for the occasional horse gallop, sheep bleat, rooster crow or donkey call! The closest grocery store is about 10 minutes away by car in Royse City (Walmart) or in Quinlan (Walmart & Brookshires). Quinlan and Royse city both have cute little town squares with some local shopping/antiquing. The town of Rockwall is only a 20 minute drive and has every restaurant/retail therapy you could need on your stay! Other Things to Note: Fishing is catch & release only unless permission given. When during a burn-ban, no fires in the pits allowed. Weekly & Monthly rates available upon request. Please be respectful to all furnishings, animals and land!

The Twig is located in Poetry, Texas on 10 wooded acres. The property boasts a 1/4 acre pond, trees, trails, deer, lots of birds, and other regional wildlife. There are 3 blinds for bird/wildlife watching/photography. The guesthouse has a kitchenette equipped with a coffee maker, electric kettle, bullet, fridge/freezer, microwave. We also provide a small outdoor propane grill and firepit. King size bed. Full bath. Smart TV. Bring a book, sit on the porch and enjoy. The Twig is located within minutes of several wedding venues. Less than an hour from Dallas, McKinney and Canton. The hosts live on the property and can help you with whatever you might need. The Twig is the only rental on the property and while not totally secluded, privacy is respected. Please be aware that our wifi can be hit or miss. Our provider is attempting to make our service less "miss", but we can't promise flawless service at this time. It can be slow. It can be non-existent. It can be decent. It is not consistent and unpredictable at this time. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults. 21 yoa minimum for all guests. We do require the names of both occupants upon reservation. No children. No pets. No visitors. No smoking/vaping on the property. At this time, maximum stay allowed is 5 days.
